  Big river, big trout, great fishing… That´s Collón Cura, a primary river of the Patagonia northern lakes system, for many secondary or smaller rivers, such as Chimehuin, Quemquemtreu or Malleo are its subsidiaries. Although wading is nice, let´s say that floating trips are a “must” at Collón Cura, offering several options as 2-day floating trip and lodging in the nice Collón Cura lodge, at same called estancia. The owner is a nature conservation´s enthusiast, for you´ll be able to enjoy not only an excellent fishing, but also terrific views of the purest Patagonia plenty of wild animals as boars, deer, guanacos (American camels) ostriches and dozens of bird species. The lodge, built in the 1990´s, is very well located and offers great comfort to guests. Its rustic style emphasizes the idea of wilderness with a curious watching tower called the “mangrullo”.
